I am in Morriston over Christmas, so I thought I'd read something by historian Stephen Thorning.

Came across this exciting tale about bank robberies at the Toronto Bank in Morriston. Sentencing for the culprits 10 years in Portsmouth Penitentiary and 12 lashes. Ouch!





That's what happens when you Jaywalk everywhere. You end up taking an unexpected turn. Calfass Road no less. By the way the road was named after Mr. Calfas but he only has one "s"
